Bill Hinson grew up in Blytheville, AR and after high school attended Memphis State University. He began his career in insurance as the youngest claims adjuster to work for Allstate in 1963, becoming the claims examiner manager in less than two years, going to state manager. After working for them several years he started an insurance agency here in Little Rock in 1972, originally beginning his insurance sales career with MFA and eventually changing to an independent agency. He has been married to his lovely wife Bonnie Hinson over 50 years and they have three children, Keith, Brian and Tanya and six grandchildren. Bill enjoys recreational time with Bonnie whether it be going to flea markets or just driving around house looking. He is also very close to all his children. His son, Brian living next door with his two youngest sons. Bill and Brian enjoy spending time together. His daughter, Tanya, working for him in the insurance business for many years who has a son who enjoys spending time and cherishes his granddaddy. Bill also enjoys music a great deal and played in Rockabilly band in high school, was the lead singer and guitarist, known as the SwingRayes. He took off from music for a time after marrying and resumed playing again during the 80s and later forming “Outback Band” and playing at various functions including fund raisers for Jennings Osbourne and later for retirement homes.
